Preparing for Your Curl Cut & Styling Appointment
- To ensure the best results for your service, we kindly ask that you arrive with your curls in their natural state—fully dry, detangled, and free of heavy products such as oils, butters, or excessive gel. This allows us to properly assess your curl pattern, density, and overall hair health for the most precise cut and styling.
- If you require detangling assistance or a detox treatment to remove buildup, please let us know in advance so we can schedule additional time for your appointment.
How to prepare for Your Color Appointment at Curl Envy!
- Arrive with clean, dry hair:
Wash your hair 24-48 hours before your appointment using a sulfate-free shampoo. Avoid deep conditioning or applying leave-in products to ensure even color absorption.
- Skip heavy styling products:
Please do not use gels, mousses, creams, butters, or oils before your appointment, as they can create a barrier and affect the coloring process.
- Detangle your hair:
Ensure your hair is free of knots and tangles before your visit to allow for a smooth and efficient coloring process.
- Wear a comfortable top:
Choose a top with a loose neckline or one that you don’t mind getting color on. A button-up or zip-up top is ideal for easy removal without disturbing your fresh color.
- Plan for aftercare:
To maintain your color, we recommend using a sulfate-free shampoo, deep conditioner, and heat protection. After your service, we will provide personalized aftercare instructions to help you keep your color vibrant and your curls healthy.

If you are considering a significant color transformation, such as going lighter or making a drastic change, we highly recommend a consultation prior to your appointment. This allows us to assess your hair’s condition and discuss realistic expectations.
- Inspiration photos required:
To help us understand your vision, please email your inspiration photos to curlenvyinc@gmail.com before your appointment.
- Current hair photo & color history required:
Along with your inspiration photos, please send a clear picture of your current hair texture and color. Additionally, provide details about any previous color treatments (professional color, box dye, henna, or chemical treatments) to help us customize your service.
